Ruby – Family Camp I
Hi there! My name is Ruby, and I hail from Southern Oregon, although I spend most of my time on the other side of the country, since I’m currently studying at Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut. I’m a singer, a pianist, a figure skater, and an aspiring educator. When I’m not studying for my classes, you’ll usually find me at the ice rink, singing in choir, or practicing my music at the piano. I’ve spent four wonderful summers at Bow-Isle–three as a camper and one as a counselor–and I’m beyond excited to return as a staff member this year. There is nothing quite like the sense of family that exists here at Camp. I promise–you’ll feel it the moment you step out of the car! I can’t wait to get to know you and sing lots of songs together around the campfire. See you soon!

Colin – Family Camp I and II
Hello! My name is Colin Herrington and I just finished my second year at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. I love to play ultimate frisbee, take photographs, and be outside. Can you imagine a summer where you get to hike up big mountains, shred the waves of Tofino, and play extreme camp wide games, all with very cool people around you? I can, because it’s happened before at Camp Bow-Isle, and it’s almost certainly going to happen again in some way or another, so you should come!

Camp has been one of the biggest blessings in my life and I am so looking forward to expressing so much love, sisterhood, joy and growth in respecting each other and ourselves! Garrett – Family Camp II
Lizzie – Family Camp I Practitioner
As a child I loved knowing that God was always there to help me whenever I needed Him. At Sunday School and at home I learn’t about how to pray, and I would often turn to God when things came up that needed healing. It wasn’t long before I was praying for my family and friends too! In 2016 I started to publicly practice Christian Science healing and became a Journal listed practitioner. Last year was my first year at Camp Bow-Isle and I loved it so much that I couldn’t wait to come back! I’m looking forward to family camp full of fun filled inspiration with campers and staff!

Feel free to come to me if you have any questions about how a Christian Science Nurse can support you during your summer adventure! I am available 24/7! Happy camping!
James – Family Camp II Practitioner
Ashley – Family Camp II Christian Science Nurse
Near the end of 2013 I left my job as an electrician apprentice and started my training as a Christian Science nurse. Then in the beginning of 2015 I started advertising in the Christian Science Journal and dedicating my full time to serving the public. I’m truly grateful for the opportunities or invitations I am given everyday to come and see the practical application of the undeniable laws of God that Christ Jesus taught and demonstrated for mankind. Understanding these divine laws allows, the Christian Science nurse, to bring a presence of tangible Love or practical care to one’s aid. I look forward to spending the week with everyone at Camp Bow-isle, embracing the harmony that Christian Science so naturally manifests in each of our lives. What a blessing to come together in divine unity, cherishing and supporting each others individuality in a beautiful place.
